Since Land Tax and friends add a bunch of lands to your hand, you have plenty of material to put back with the Rack in exchange for real cards
It wont stop cards such as Deadly Rollick from the same cycle of cards and it cant beat the rare Exterminatus , but it definitely removes much of the risk involved with having a large board state if you havent been able to dedicate mana to holding up interaction
